Day 1. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (lunch)
Arrival in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. Meeting at the airport. Transfer to the hotel, check-in after 14:00 (early check-in is possible with 50% surcharge).
14:30 Welcome Sakhalin-style lunch . We will begin our journey with acquaintance with Sakhalin cuisine. At our lunch you will taste the famous hemultan soup, salads from Sakhalin wild plants (fern, burdock), seasonal fish dishes, sandwiches with caviar for tea.
During lunch, we will discuss travel details and present you with the necessary attributes for a trip to Sakhalin. The weather in Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands changes very quickly, and to make your trip comfortable, we have prepared raincoats and raincoats for your shoes. Your shoes and clothes will always remain dry, even in the most inclement weather.
Guided sightseeing tour of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk (3 hours)
Places to visit: Sakhalin Regional Museum of Local Lore with an excursion, where you will get acquainted with the history of the discovery of Sakhalin and the periods of government experienced by the island (the museum was built in 1937 by Japanese architects). We will visit the place where in 1882 the first huts were cut down by Russian settlers and exiled convicts, and the village of Vladimirovka was formed, which laid the foundation for the city of Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk. We will imagine how the city grew and developed during the Japanese rule of Karafuto (then it was called Toyohara), we will see the preserved Japanese buildings built in those distant times. And, of course, we will visit the brightest places of modern Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk and the main attractions of the island capital: the Victory memorial complex, the Church of the Nativity of Christ, the observation deck of the Mountain Air Group of Companies, from where a magnificent view of the entire city, the Walk of Fame and others opens. .


Day 2. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Korsakov – Ozerskoe – Novikovo – Cape Aniva – Aniva lighthouse (breakfast, lunch)

The Aniva lighthouse (Japanese Naka-Siretokomisaki) was installed in 1939 and is not only the most original and complex technical project of the Karafuto period , but also an outstanding world achievement in the practice of lighthouse construction at that time. The need to build a lighthouse was due to the unpredictable treacherous currents, with the mixing of the waters of the Sea of ​​Okhotsk and the Aniva Bay, frequent fogs and rocky banks, and heavy traffic. The author of the project – Japanese engineer Miura Shinobu.
The journey begins in the village of Novikovo, which took its name in honor of the legendary cruiser Novik, who fought a Japanese ship in this place in the 1905 Russo-Japanese War. Going out to sea by boat and passing 35 kilometers past the abandoned village of Yuzhnoye, Cape Mramorny, Cape Slyuda, in one and a half two hours we overtake the purpose of our journey – ndash; lighthouse at Cape Aniva! Day 3. Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk – Dolinsk –Starodubskoe – Vzmorie – Pugachevsky mud volcano (Maguntan) – Tikhaya Bay (breakfast, lunch)
