During the rafting on the picturesque Bystraya river, you will observe the inhabitants of the wild nature of Kamchatka bears, and you will be able to fish on char. Visit a variety of natural thermal springs: Dachnye, Verkhne-Paratunsky, Malkinsky. Take a boat trip along Avacha Bay, and if you wish and the weather permits, visit the famous Valley of Geysers. The most difficult ascent in this program is – to the Avachinsky volcano, however, if you are not confident in your abilities, the ascent can be replaced with a walk to Mount Camel – on this day the group will be divided into two subgroups.

Day 3. Mutnovsky volcano – Dangerous canyon and waterfall (breakfast, lunch box, dinner)
We drive to the Mutnovsky volcano along a difficult road. We begin our ascent (the height of the volcano is 2323 m, ascent to 1650 m, about 1.5-2 hours). Rather, this ascent can be called a walk through very picturesque places, which are a kind of " visiting card '' Kamchatka.
Mutnovsky Volcano is a natural monument, which is located partly on the territory of the South Kamchatka Natural Park, which was included in 1996 in the UNESCO World Natural and Cultural Heritage List in the nomination " Volcanoes of Kamchatka ''. Two hours of walking along the trail without steep elevation changes, at the end of which you will have the opportunity to look into the smoking crater of the volcano and, what is important, sit " on horseback '' on its edge. Unlike rafting, there will be a lot of people here, you may even have to queue a little to get to the edge of the crater.
Mutnovsky Volcano – the most popular volcano because of the easy climbing accessible to people of all ages and the interesting vivid spectacular views during the ascent. The crater of the Mutnovsky volcano itself is quite deep, with high walls, but from the north-west it has a rift, where the Vulkannaya River flows. The river is hidden by a glacier, along which the trail passes. If we are lucky, we will meet real faults – deep cracks in the ice. Along the path to the crater, we will see a lot of fumaroles smoking from crevices and small cones of native sulfur, a bubbling mud boiler, boiling and gushing geysers. And from the eastern walls of the crater to the very bottom, a glacier descends, pressing on the fumarole field - there is a struggle between the elements of ice and fire. In terms of beauty and uniqueness, this place is in no way inferior to the famous Valley of Geysers!
On the way back, another spectacle awaits us: the Vulkannaya River falls from a height of 80 meters into the Dangerous canyon with a powerful waterfall.
Return to camp. Night in tents.
Day 4. Gorely volcano – Verkhne-Paratunsky hot springs – Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (breakfast, lunch box)
After breakfast we will drive to Gorely volcano. The path to the summit usually takes no more than 2.5-3 hours, the height of the volcano is 1829 m, the ascent starts from about 1000 m). The path to the top is a little more difficult than on the Mutnovsky volcano, but here a completely different landscape opens up in front of the traveler, formed by black slag and flows of black lava, for their color the volcano got its name.
Gorely has several craters, the most impressive of which is – these are the Blue Lake and Active craters. Both craters are funnels with steep walls. The first crater is the largest and lives up to its name – at the bottom there is a lake of bright blue color. In Aktivny crater there is a small acidic lake of turquoise color with a greenish tint, along the shores of which they " smoke '' powerful fumaroles.
Having examined the craters, we go down to the car. On the way: visiting the Verkhne-Paratunsky hot springs.

And, most importantly, we sail through completely wild places with pristine nature, where there are no roads or villages, but only bear trails. Throughout the entire rafting, not a single person, not a single car or even a hunting lodge will be encountered. You will only occasionally see individual bears or bears with cubs , admire how skillfully they fish and swim across the river. The guides have the skills and equipment to scare off wild animals.

Practical advice for travelers in Kamchatka
Traveling in Kamchatka is unique due to its geographical isolation, small population and the fact that the status of a closed territory was removed from it relatively recently.
To make your trip safe and enjoyable, take note of our tips:
1. Staying in the wild:
Kamchatka is a huge uninhabited territory, the population of which is concentrated in several cities and towns. The landscape and climate variability should be taken seriously.
2. Choose the right clothes:
The weather can be damp and cold. A waterproof jacket, pants (overalls) and a hat can come in handy if the weather turns for the worse. Then gloves, thick socks and a warm sweater will become your true friends. When hiking in remote wilderness, be prepared to meet many rivers, so stock up on shoes that will keep your feet dry in all conditions. Also, do not forget that a slippery sole on steep slopes – a straight path to an accident.
3. The rule for wild animals:
Remember that animals appeared here earlier, they – interesting subject to watch while you don't disturb them. Prepare for how you will react when you meet an inquisitive, intelligent and potentially dangerous beast in a remote area - bear.
4. Wildlife travel:
If you are hiking in a nature park, register your itinerary with the Kamchatka Natural Parks Directorate, a local travel company or the hotel where you are staying. Don't travel alone. Going to volcanoes, do not forget to grab a couple of sticks – They will help keep your balance as you climb slippery slopes or traverse snowy fields that never melt on some volcanoes.
5. On the money:
Credit card payments are not accepted in most shops and hotels, but there are ATM machines that accept Visa and Mastercard credit cards. Banks also operate cash transfer system Western Union. In addition to your card, you must have your passport with you.
6. Public transport:
Buses operate from 7.00 to 21.00. Private minibuses also operate on city routes. Flights from Petropavlovsk to Kozyrevsk and Esso are carried out daily with stops in Elizovo and Milkovo. Tickets are sold at the bus stations in Petropavlovsk and Elizovo, on Komsomolskaya Square in Petropavlovsk. Minibuses travel along the routes of Elizovo – Petropavlovsk, Elizovo – Paratunka with stops along the way.
7. Security issues:
Kamchatka – one of the safest places in Russia. However, when visiting cities and towns, take all the safety measures as when traveling in any big city.

Departure to the Kuril Lake, landing at Cape Travyanoy or the source of the Ozernaya River, walking tour, observation of salmon, bear fishing.
The largest Kuril Lake – the second largest freshwater lake in Kamchatka, but it has no equal in importance and beauty. The depth of the lake – 316 meters. It was formed more than eight thousand years ago as a result of a powerful eruption, the beginning of which was the emission of white lapillian pumice. It can still be found in abundance on the shore of the lake in the form of balls.
The panorama of the lake is unique. It is surrounded on all sides by the majestic cones of volcanoes. The shores and underwater slopes are steep and rocky. Ancient lake terraces are visible on the slopes of the volcanoes. Islands in the form of peaks rise from the bottom, one of the islands, the triangular rock Alaid. The lake is fed by numerous mountain streams mixed with hot spring waters. One weakly freezing river Ozernaya flows out of it. The largest stock of sockeye salmon in Eurasia enters the lake for spawning. At the height of spawning, at the end of summer, the highest concentration of brown bears in the world is observed in the vicinity of the lake. Other animals willingly eat salmon – fox, river otter.
Flight to Ksudach volcano, landing in the crater of the volcano, excursion.
The entire upper part of Ksudach volcano (1080 m) is occupied by a vast oval-shaped caldera 7x9 km, formed by the strongest eruptions, as a result of which a building was formed of several overlapping intermediate calderas.
Above opens a beautiful panorama that is rare even for Kamchatka, which is rich in scenic views: a kind of caldera with steep rocky slopes sparkles with multicolored rocks – dark, reddish, light yellow.
The bottom of the caldera has a two-stage structure. Dividing into two almost equal parts – the western one is higher, and the eastern one is occupied by lakes. On the border between them, forming a barrier and a ledge at the same time are located: a small, dark-colored massif Lava dome, next to the same massif of light-colored – The soaring ridge and the Shtiubel crater, extreme from the south.
The entire eastern part of the caldera is occupied by two lakes – Key and Stubel. The key has an oblong shape, 4x2 km in size. It is surrounded on almost all sides by steep walls up to 500 meters high. The lake has no open flow, and the water is filtered through a cofferdam separating it from the Shtubelya lake, which is about 2 km long. From this lake, cutting through the caldera ridge, flows the Teplaya River, which forms a waterfall about 10 meters high a kilometer from the source. At the foot of the Soaring Ridge, on the narrow sandy shore of the lake, streams of the Shtiubelevsky hot springs are beating out. Outcrops of oxen with temperatures up to 70 ° C stretch along the coast for 250 m. Ksudach – one of the most exotic objects in Kamchatka, declared a natural monument of landscape and geological nature.
Flight to the Khodutkinsky springs, lunch, swimming in a hot river.
They are located in a vast meadow surrounded by forest. From scattered griffin funnels, hot water is collected in a stream. Strong streams are also beating out at its bottom and along the banks, and the stream turns into a real river about 30 m wide and up to 1.5 m deep. The water temperature in the griffins reaches 80 ° C, but decreases as it flows. A few hundred meters beyond the clearing, the river flows through a birch forest, beautifully framing its slightly soaring surface with green walls. The temperature in the deepest, but already slightly cooled part of the river is about 42-43 ° C in summer. Khodutka springs are a natural monument.
According to its chemical composition, the water is hydrocarbonate-chloride-sodium with high mineralization (0.5 g / l) and with a silicic acid content of up to 90 mg / l.
Return to Elizovo.
Departure for the excursion is carried out from the Avachinsky airport (Elizovo), located 30 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

The world famous Valley of Geysers is located in the center of the Kronotsky Nature Reserve in a deep mountain canyon. This unique natural site was discovered in 1941 by geologist T.I. Ustinova. The Valley got its name in honor of 40 geysers and numerous hot springs pouring into the river for 8 kilometers. Each of the geysers is unique and unique. They all have their own names and characteristic features. All known forms of hydrothermal manifestations in nature can be observed in the Valley of Geysers: hot lakes, pulsating boiling springs, steam and gas jets, mud pots and geysers.
The helicopter route to the Valley of Geysers runs over picturesque mountain ranges and gullies, tundra, volcanoes, rivers and lakes, tourists can watch the eruption of the Karymsky volcano and admire the beauty of the turquoise lake of the Maly Semyachik volcano.
A person who first came to the Valley of Geysers is stunned by the fantastic nature of what he saw. The world of the valley is so unreal that it seems that there cannot be anything like it on earth, that all this is happening on some unknown planet. Colors absolutely not typical of earthly landscapes: against the background of bright greenery of dwarf cedar and foliage of trees – brown, red, purple, the color of burnt clay earth. The air is saturated to the limit with steam and the smell of sulfur.
Everything is bubbling, hissing and bubbling around!
In the Valley of Geysers, the guide will acquaint visitors with the rules of conduct on the territory of the reserve. The tour continues along wooden decking paths to the main viewing platforms. The steepest slopes have railings. From the observation platforms, tourists will be able to see and photograph all stages of the eruption of the largest geysers (Giant, Bolshoi, etc.), look into the " Gates of Hell '', admire the cauldrons with red boiling clay.
After 2 hours excursions in the Valley flight to the caldera of the Uzon volcano.
Another unique natural object of the Kronotsky reserve – the caldera of the Uzon volcano is a huge bowl-shaped basin measuring 9 x 12 km, formed on the site of a destroyed volcano 40 thousand years ago.
Uzon amazes with the richness and form of volcanic manifestations – more than a thousand thermal springs of various sizes, shapes and compositions are concentrated here, including hot lakes and boiling boilers.
The total area of thermal fields is 61 thousand square meters. m.
Unlike the Valley of Geysers, the Uzon caldera with numerous hot springs and fumaroles has been known to the local population for a long time. Among the Kamchadals, this unique natural creation was called the " Burning Valley '', the " Floating Land. ''
There are a large number of warm and non-freezing lakes here. The largest of them – warm non-freezing lake Fumarolnoe and cold Central lake, the attraction is the Dalneye maar lake.
As a result of the landslide on 03.06.2007, new touches in the landscape appeared in the Valley: a dammed lake, a bunch of boulders and stones.
carried out from the Avachinsky airport; (Elizovo), located 30 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
