Day 1 Arrival to Kamchatka.

Meeting at the airport Yelizovo. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation. Rest, acclimatization. Meeting with a company representative, discussing the details of the tour. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Trip to Tolbachik

Breakfast. Trip by car ("crew bus") to the area of Klyuchevskaya group of volcanoes (590 km). Klyuchevskaya group consists of 14 active and extinct volcanoes, including the famous Klyuchevskaya Sopka, Shiveluch, Bezymianny, Tolbachik. This is the largest group of volcanoes in Russia. On the way – lunch in cafe in the village Milkovo. Crossing the bridge over the largest river of the Kamchatka. The accommodation in the guest house to the village of Kozyrevsk. Dinner. Overnight at guest house.

Day 3 Tolbachik, Northern breakthrough of 1975., "Dead forest".

Breakfast. The entrance to the foot of the volcano Flat Tolbachik. Setting up the camp. Instruction. Tolbachik - a wonderful and powerful energy spot! In 1975-1976 there was a catastrophic eruption, the largest in the XX century. Millions of tons of ash and slag escaped from the formed cracks and covered all life around for tens of kilometers. The tour takes you to the so-called cones of the North breach. Snack. Moving in the Dead forest, destroyed by the eruption, visiting the lava caves (4 -5 hours). The once rich pastures and all vegetation in a radius of several kilometers have been destroyed. These places got a grim title Dead forest, where the dried tops of the trees could be seen from under the 7-metre layer of slag. Return to the camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 4 Ascent of the volcano Flat Tolbachik.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent of the volcano Tolbachik (the ascent takes 5 – 7 hours). Snack in the way. Return to the camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 5 New fissure eruption 2012. Village Esso.

Breakfast. A tour of the New fissure eruption on Tolbachinsky started in November 2012. Observation of the new hot and frozen lava flows. The fissure eruption characterized by the outpouring of large amounts of lava. They are also called "touristic" eruptions for relatively safe and photogenic of the current lava rivers. Transfer to the village Esso (150 km). Lunch. Rest, swimming in thermal water pool. Dinner. Overnight at the recreation camp.

Day 6 Village Esso, the drive to the river Fast.

Breakfast. Excursion program: Visit Bystrinsky ethnographic Museum, which presents unique items of shamanism, the original paraphernalia evens, items of their life and folk art.Moving to the river Fast. In route lunch in a café of the village Milkovo. Setting a camp, dinner, fishing from the shore.Overnight in tents.

Day 7 Rafting down the Bystraya river.

Breakfast. Start of rafting down one of the largest rivers of the Kamchatka with its picturesque banks, the passage of shiver and fishing for trout. On the way stop for a snack. Continuation of the rafting. In evening fishing from the shore. Overnight in tents.

Day 8 Rafting, transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Breakfast. The camp and continue rafting with fishing. At the end of the rafting lunch on the beach. Transfer to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or Paratunka.Return in the evening. Accommodation at the hotel. Rest. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9 boat trip. Trip to the Mutnovsky, Gorely.

Breakfast. Shuttle service to the seaport. Excursion by boat on Avacha Bay with access to the Pacific Ocean (5-6 hours). The route of the voyage passing by the Quiet Bay, the island Babushkin Kamen, Cape Stanitskogo, stones "Three brothers" and rocks at the Cape Average. The aim of the trip is a unique island Starichkov, which takes its name from the birds to the elderly. "Starichkov island" is declared a natural monument for the preservation of the rookeries and create good possibilities for nesting and breeding birds. Exciting sea fishing, fish soup, tasting of freshly caught seafood. Return to the port.Transfer to the Mutnovsky, Gorely (100 km). Setting up the camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 10 Ascent of the Gorely volcano.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent of the Gorely volcano (1829 m, the ascent takes about 3-5 hours).Gorely volcano is located 75 km southwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and unlikely to attract someone's attention, but not for nothing that "the modest gentleman" is a monument of nature. He has a "collection" of craters, each of which has its own characteristics and they all create a unique ensemble. Return to the camp. Dinner. Rest. Overnight in tents

Day 11 Ascent of the Mutnovsky volcano.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent of the crater of Mutnovsky volcano. Mutnovsky volcano is a natural monument, which is located partially on the territory of South-Kamchatka nature Park, made in 1996 in the UNESCO world natural and cultural heritage in the nomination "Volcanoes of Kamchatka". The volcano consists of 4 fused, successively formed cones of stratovolcanoes. The heart of the volcano, the so called Active Crater is the biggest crater of all volcanoes in the Kamchatka Peninsula, where there is active fumarole activity. The unusual route is that it passes over the fracture inside the volcano itself! The trail leads into the crater, where you'll get a stunning view. The beauty and uniqueness of this place is not inferior to the famous Valley of Geysers! Excursion to the fumarole fields, mud pots and "active funnel". Snack.
Returning to the foot, observation of the powerful 80-foot waterfall in a ravine Threat. Transfer to Paratunka settlement. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 12 Free day. Trip to Avachinsky volcano.

Breakfast. Optional tours: Helicopter tour to the Kurilskoye lake (7 hours). Brown bear and spawning salmon watching. On the way back – landing in the Caldera of Ksudach volcano and the Khodutka hot springs (lunch, swimming). Helicopter excursion Valley Of Geysers and the Caldera of Uzon volcano (6-7 hours) with the current flyby Karymsky volcano crater and Maly Semyachik. Hiking to the geysers and mud pots. On the way back – landing in the Nalychevo valley – lunch and bathing in hot springs. Diving. Dives for certified divers to 40 metres, for beginners with an instructor - up to 4 meters. Given all required equipment is pre-briefing. Accommodation in the base camp. Dinner. Overnight in cabins (sleeping bags).

Day 13 Ascent of Avachinsky volcano. Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent (6 – 8 hours) of the crater of Avachinsky volcano (2751 m). Sightseeing tour around the crater to the fumarole fields and lava flow. Snack in the way. Fire-breathing guard of the town, the Avachinsky volcano is one of the most active in Kamchatka. The life of a volcano doesn't stop for the day: constantly puffing fumaroles, yellow sulphur, clubs, gas and steam. Avachinsky volcano came into being several tens of thousands of years ago, and its the right cone was significantly higher Koryaksky volcano. But the giant catastrophic explosions blew its top and formed a Caldera with a diameter of almost 4 km. About 5 thousand years ago from the bottom of the Caldera began to rise a new cone. The absolute height of the modern cone is equal to 2751 m, the relative 400-1000 m. The crater is almost completely filled with lava because of the last eruption in 1991.
Return to base camp. Dinner. Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky or p. Paratunka. Accommodation at the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 14 Departure.

Breakfast. Visiting fish market and souvenir stores. Transfer to the airport.

Overview

Itinerary: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky/Paratunka → Tolbachik volcano → Esso → rafting down the Bystraya river → boat trip → Gorely volcano → Mutnovsky volcano  → Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky/Paratunka → Avachinsky volcano → Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky/Paratunka.

Rafting: the river Bysraya – 2 days, length of the raft is about 80 km.

Excursions: New fissure eruption at Tolbachik 2012 – solidified lava flows, lava caves, cinder fields, "Dead forest"; the Ethnographic Museum in Esso is the most complete representation of the culture and life of the people of Kamchatka;Sea cruise to Avacha Bay – 6 hours fishing, seafood.

Travel tips

Necessary personal equipment for this tour:

- backpack for climbing (30-45 liters);

- comfortable Hiking clothes;

- Hiking boots with solid tread and impregnation of the wet;

Clothing and equipment: Tourists should pay attention to the preparation of personal gear (clothes and shoes), as large parts of the routes climbing to the craters of volcanoes, mountain passes and volcanic plateau during summer can survive the snow and, in the case of prolonged inclement weather, air temperature at altitudes above 1000 m can be reduced.
Tourists carry and are responsible for personal equipment (backpack, sleeping bag) yourself.
Tourists help, to the best of their physical capabilities, staff with the installation and Assembly of the camp.
Tourists are not involved in cooking.

Наиболее запоминающими для меня представляются впечатляющие виды с вулканов Мутновского и Горелого (хотя восхождения на них требует немалого физического упорства). Весьма привлекателен выход в Авачинскую бухту, изначально в молочном тумане, но в последующем с постепенно появляющимися легендарными камнями "Три брата", островом Старичков и уже в солнечный день - замечательные Станицкий мыс с его птичьими базарами, лёжки нерп и морских львов, гротовые скалы. Конечно, нельзя не упомянуть замечательную возможность донной рыбалки с трофеями у каждого её участника, хотя более половины из них впервые держали в руках удочку, ну, и прекрасный обед с крабами и свежего улова камбалы. 

Хотелось бы отметить в положительной части профессионализм и доброжелательное отношение со стороны принимающей и обслуживающей стороны. Это создавало и поддерживало бодрый настрой на преодоление трудностей, позволяло полностью сосредоточиться на получении максимума удовольствий от посещения этого удивительного по красоте края. Это и Николай - водитель первого Камаза, и Регина, Виктор и оба Александра - наши руководители и хранители во время восхождений, Андрей - водитель второго транспортного средства, умелые и весёлые повара Галина и обе Анны. Кроме этих действующих лиц в кордебалете весьма неплохо себя показали медведи на Курильском озере, лисы в районе Авачи, евражки и турбаганы по всему пути. Приятно было провести восстановительные водные процедуры на Малкинских горячих источниках. Хорош отель "Гейзер" условиями проживаниями, завтраками, приветливым персоналом.

А другим, желающим посетить сей благодатный край, советую учесть по крайней мере два момента в августе: предусмотрите хорошую защиту от комаров; особенно они свирепы в районе Козыревска. И если вы хотите сохранить свою фигуру в полной сохранности, то этот тур не рекомендую - она может существенно сократиться, даже если трескать икру нерки, чавычи и горбуши, как делали мы - ложками.

Общее впечатление - светлое и позитивное. Условия пребывания и организация - на хорошем для местных условий уровне. Некоторые пункты программы (восхождение на вулканы Мутновский и Авачинский) выполнить не удалось, но в этом виноваты исключительно сложные погодные условия. Туроперратор в целом сработал четко, в нужных случаях гибко. Персонал кампании профессионален, доброжелателен. Короче, у нас нет нареканий и претензий, есть желание когда-то еще раз посетить этот прекрасный край. Спасибо вам и вашим партнерам за хорошую работу.
