ACQUAINTANCE WITH THE VOLCANOES OF KAMCHATKA

Day 1 Arrival to Kamchatka

Meeting at the airport Yelizovo. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation. Rest, acclimatization. Meeting with a company representative, discussing the details of the tour.

Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 Boat trip. Trip to the Mutnovsky, Gorely.

Breakfast. Trip to the seaport. Excursion by boat on Avacha Bay with access to the Pacific Ocean (5-6 hours). The route of the voyage passing by the Quiet Bay, the island Babushkin Kamen, Cape Stanitskogo, stones "Three brothers"  and rocks at the Cape Average. The aim of the trip is a unique island Starichkov, which takes its name from the birds to the elderly. "Starichkov island" is declared a natural monument for the preservation of the rookeries and create good possibilities for nesting and breeding birds.  Exciting sea fishing, fish soup, tasting of freshly caught seafood. Return to the port.Transfer to the Mutnovsky, Gorely (100 km). Setting up the camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 3 Ascent of the Gorely volcano.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent of the Gorely volcano (1829 m, the ascent takes about 3-5 hours).

Gorely volcano is located 75 km southwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and unlikely to attract someone's attention, but not for nothing that "the modest gentleman" is a monument of nature. He has a "collection" of craters, each of which has its own characteristics and they all create a unique ensemble.

Return to the camp. Dinner. Overnight in tents.

Day 4 Ascent of the Mutnovsky volcano.

Breakfast. Instruction. Ascent of the crater of Mutnovsky volcano.

Mutnovsky volcano is a natural monument, which is located partially on the territory of South-Kamchatka nature Park, made in 1996 in the UNESCO world natural and cultural heritage in the nomination "Volcanoes of Kamchatka". The volcano consists of 4 fused, successively formed cones of stratovolcanoes. The heart of the volcano, the so called Active Crater is the biggest crater of all volcanoes in the Kamchatka Peninsula, where there is active fumarole activity. The unusual route is that it passes over the fracture inside the volcano itself! The trail leads into the crater, where You'll get a stunning picture. The beauty and uniqueness of this place is not inferior to the famous Valley of Geysers!

Excursion to the fumarole fields, mud pots and "active funnel". Snack. Returning to the foot, observation of the powerful 80-foot waterfall in a ravine Threat.

Transfer to Paratunka settlement. Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 5 Free day. Optional excursions

Breakfast. Optional tours: Helicopter tour to the Kurilskoye lake (7 hours). Brown bear and spawning salmon watching. On the way back – landing in the Caldera of Ksudach volcano and the Khodutka hot springs (lunch, swimming). Helicopter excursion Valley Of Geysers and the Caldera of Uzon volcano (6-7 hours) with the current flyby Karymsky volcano crater and Maly Semyachik. Hiking to the geysers and mud pots. On the way back – landing in the Nalychevo valley – lunch and bathing in hot springs. Diving. Dives for certified divers to 40 metres, for beginners with an instructor – up to 4 meters. Given all required equipment is pre-briefing. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 6 Ethnographic excursion to the national camp. Sightseeing tour of the city. "Black beach".

Breakfast. A trip to the community of indigenous people of Kamchatka, entertaining program with participation of folk ensemble, canine tour of the kennel of sled dogs. Observation of spawning salmon. Lunch with Kamchatka folk flavor and delicacies. Sightseeing tour of the city: Central square, promenade, viewpoint, historical center of the city. The Museum of volcanoes in Kamchatka "Vulcanian".

A trip to the Pacific coast. Walk through the "black beach", a visit to the tourist visitor centre.

The sand on the beaches of Kamchatka has a dark gray color because of its volcanic origin.

Return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 7 Departure.

Breakfast. Visiting fish market and souvenir stores. Transfer to the airport.

Overview

Itinerary: Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky/Paratunka → national camp, sightseeing tour, shore of the Pacific ocean → boating → Gorely volcano → a volcano Mutnovsky → the Kuril lake / Valley of Geysers → Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy/Paratunka.

Accommodation: Standard accommodation in hotels of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and/or hotels of a resort zone Paratunka p. (50 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky).

In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky – hotel "Petropavlovsk", "Geyser", etc. In p. Paratunka – "Flamingo", "Belkamtur", "Merlin", "Antarius", etc. Certain location is determined by the tour operator, depending on the placement of the other tourists in the group and availability at the hotels.

TOURISTS can be given the location of his choice, subject to availability, with the recalculation of the tour price. Your wishes should be specified in the request at time of booking. If you choose a non-standard accommodation, the tour operator may charge a Supplement for individual transfer from/to the airport.

At arrival/departure earlier or later tour dates may incur a surcharge for private transfer from/to the airport.

The resort area "Paratunka" is located 50 km from the cities Petropavlovsk and Yelizovo. The regular bus service runs between these points throughout the day. All hotels in Paratunka have hot thermal pools under the open sky, with healing properties. Nearby there are grocery stores and cafes.

Placement under Avacha volcano in base camp. Heated cabins with 2-4-bed rooms, shelves and sleeping bags.

Accommodation on active part of the route – in a tent camp. There are 2 local tent Tramp Lair 2, Lair 3 (3-seater), floor mats-foam (mats). We recommend you to take your own sleeping bag as the personal items. Sleeping bags for hire: Alexika, Rock Empire, Campus.

The number of tourists to the national group: We ensure that the booked tour will be held, even if the group consist of one person.

Standard group of 10-12 people.

Boat trip on Avachinskaya Bay (marine boat) performed in the group of 12 to 20 people.

Helicopter (optional) tour – groups up to 24 people. 

Volcanoes: Gorely Volcano (1829 m) – Yuzhno-Kamchatsky nature Park; the Mutnovsky Volcano (2323 m) – Yuzhno-Kamchatsky nature Park.

Excursions: boat trip on Avachinskaya Bay with access to the Pacific Ocean, you will see bird rookeries and enjoy freshly caught seafood. A fascinating ethnographic excursion to the community of indigenous peoples of Kamchatka with the national concert and canine tour of the kennel of sled dogs. Sightseeing tour of the main city of the Peninsula. Visit visit-center "Museum of volcanoes on the Kamchatka Peninsula, "Vulcanian", where you can learn a lot about volcanoes. After the city tour you will walk along the "black beach" on the coast of the Pacific Ocean.

Free time: Day of arrival; Day 6 – optional excursions.

You will have the opportunity to fly by helicopter to the famous valley of the Geysers or Kuril lake is the largest spawning ground for salmon-sockeye salmon where the largest population of Brown bear (up to 400 individuals!). If that's not enough, you can take a few extra days and we will arrange for you an additional amazing tour.

The program is suitable for tourists of any age, special physical training is required.

Clothing and equipment: Tourists should pay attention to the preparation of personal gear (clothes and shoes), as large parts of the routes climbing to the craters of volcanoes, mountain passes and volcanic plateau during summer can survive the snow and, in the case of prolonged inclement weather, air temperature at altitudes above 1000 m can be reduced.
Tourists carry and are responsible for personal equipment (backpack, sleeping bag) yourself.
Tourists help, to the best of their physical capabilities, staff with the installation and Assembly of the camp.
Tourists are not involved in cooking.
